Our History

Started in 2008, Angels on the Avenue was created by those who volunteered and created the Life Enriching Garden at St. Augustine Health Campus. Wanting to do more, the group spun off and created the Angels as a way of further helping the residents there and to have a voice in the direction in which funds could be used.

Today, the Angels are focused on each resident, providing resident outings, medical equipment and necessities.

With 97 percent of the residents on Medicaid, personal funds to partake in activities are nonexistent. The Angels provide those needed funds so residents can continue to enjoy life and be part of the community.

We are a diverse group of believers -- bankers, musicians, social workers, teachers, public servants, business owners, parents -- united by our shared faith in helping others less fortunate.
